CRYSTAL CARTER - MPA | VICE PRESIDENT

Crystal Carter grew up in the Central area of Baton Rouge and graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2002.  While residing in Shreveport, Crystal began her career in the insurance industry, working in marketing and event coordinating. She earned her Master’s degree in Public Administration from the LSU Public Administration Institute in Baton Rouge in 2014.

 

Prior to AMS opening its doors in 2017, Crystal worked for Phyllis Perron & Associates from 2007-2016.

She currently serves as Vice-President of AMS, working with multiple associations to meet their goals, as well as supporting the broader mission of AMS.

 

Crystal is an active member of the Louisiana Society of Association Executives (LSAE), Society of Government Meeting Planners (SGMP), American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Association Executives Council (AEC) of the National Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC), and Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA).  She serves as a member of National PHCC’s Invest in Your Future Education Foundation Council, as well as National PHCC’s Apprenticeship Advisory Council, and

serves as a board member for AEC. Crystal is also a member of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Commission. She then earned her certification as a Digital Event Strategist in 2021.
